Bird species richness, composition, and abundance in pastures are influenced by the presence of trees and shrubs, as well as the distance to natural habitats. Pastures with more trees and shrubs attract forest birds, while taller trees in pastures are preferred by semi-forest insectivorous birds. Closer proximity to natural habitats increases the richness of forest frugivorous birds in pastures. The study emphasizes the importance of maintaining trees and shrubs in pastures and preserving natural habitats nearby to support bird conservation efforts.
