The study looked at how ventilated facade systems can save energy and improve comfort in buildings in Tehran's climate. By modeling different building scenarios, researchers found that buildings with ventilated facades use 40% less energy than those with conventional facades. Ventilated facades work better for cooling than heating, especially on southern facades with direct sunlight. Factors like building height and number of floors also affect the system's performance.
