The article discusses how urban wind environments are getting worse due to rapid urbanization and lack of environmental information in city planning. To address this, a new method was developed in Wuhan, China, using meteorological data and 3D urban maps in a GIS system to improve wind permeability in urban areas. By integrating these tools, city planners and policymakers can create better urban planning strategies to improve the overall urban environment.
