Income inequality has been increasing for years, especially in the USA. This is due to a lack of support for the middle class, lower wages, and stagnant minimum wages. In areas where there are big differences in job opportunities between rich and poor families, inequality is highest. If you don't own anything now, it's hard to ever own anything in the future. This is a big problem not just in the USA, but globally too.
