Timor-Leste needs to improve its water sector to boost its economy and meet development goals. The country has potential for water resource development, but lacks data and capacity for effective management. While progress has been made in urban water and sanitation, rural areas still need attention. Investing in the water sector will benefit the economy, communities, and the environment in Timor-Leste.
