Maize farmers in Benin face challenges like limited access to inputs and capital, as well as a weak institutional environment. A study of 354 farmers found that by adopting best practices and addressing constraints, maize output could increase by 25%. To improve productivity, policies should focus on providing access to inputs, capital, training, and infrastructure in farming areas.
