Two types of foxtail seeds were studied to see how they germinate in different temperatures and moisture levels. Green foxtail seeds germinated faster and in a wider range of temperatures compared to yellow foxtail seeds. Green foxtail seeds also germinated better in dry soil conditions. This shows that green foxtail seeds are more adaptable and can grow more easily in various environments than yellow foxtail seeds.
