Fuzzy data analysis revolutionizes measuring agricultural productivity in OECD countries.
The article measures agricultural productivity change in 34 OECD countries from 1990 to 2014 using data envelopment analysis (DEA) and malmquist productivity index (MPI). The challenge was missing data points, so the researchers used averages and intervals to fill in the gaps without losing information. By applying fuzzy approaches, they found that it's possible to analyze productivity changes without excluding missing points. The results show how agricultural productivity changed over time in different countries and regions.
