Herbicides Slash Yankeeweed Cover by 25% in East-Central Texas
The study tested different herbicides to control yankeeweed in Texas pastures. Results showed that picloram, clopyralid, glyphosate, dicamba, and triclopyr were effective in reducing yankeeweed cover. Chlorsulfuron and metsulfuron also showed good control. Some herbicides reduced woolly croton and partridgepea cover, while increasing grass cover. Overall, clopyralid, picloram, dicamba, and triclopyr were most effective in increasing grass cover in the pastures.
