The article analyzes how river sediment discharge and shifting river mouth openings affect the evolution of river mouth deltas. By using a one-line model, the researchers found analytical solutions for predicting erosion and recovery processes of river mouth deltas. They also discovered significant differences in delta deformation processes when considering finite-length sandy beaches with boundaries like capes or structures compared to infinite domains.
