Rawalpindi district soil fertility reveals urgent need for agricultural improvements.
The study aimed to assess the soil fertility in Rawalpindi district to help farmers and researchers improve crop production. Soil samples were collected and analyzed for various factors like texture, pH, organic matter, phosphorus, and potash levels. Results showed that most soils were sandy loam or loam, with pH levels around 8.0. While electrical conductivity was normal in almost all samples, organic matter was deficient in 90% of soils. Phosphorus levels were low in 84% of samples, but potash levels were adequate in 84% of soils in the district.
