China's Eastern Region Leads in Agricultural Energy Efficiency, Western Region Lags
The article analyzed the energy efficiency of agriculture in different regions of China from 1997 to 2014. They looked at how efficiently different provinces used energy in farming. The results showed that the eastern region had the highest energy efficiency, followed by the central region, with the western region being the least efficient. Overall, China's agricultural productivity grew slowly due to improvements in technology efficiency rather than technological progress.
