The article compares different ways to turn waste into energy for a small power plant in Brazil. They looked at using biogas from landfills, burning solid waste, and gasification of waste to make electricity. The study found that gasification of solid waste is the most efficient option for generating electricity. While the economic analysis didn't show big profits, it's not a problem for this small pilot project meant to showcase waste-to-energy technologies.
