Glaring Facades Torment Tropical City Dwellers, Demand Urgent Action
The study looked at how shiny building materials can make it hard for people in tropical countries to see and stay cool. They made a plan to study how much glare bothers people walking outside in Singapore. By asking people about their age, how long they were in the glare, and how much it bothered them, they found out that glare can be a big problem for pedestrians. This information can help city planners and architects make buildings that are more comfortable for people to be around.
