Anglers Embrace Catch-and-Release Regulations, Defying Expectations in Oklahoma Fishery
The study looked at how paddlefish anglers feel about catch-and-release fishing rules. They used surveys to see how anglers would react to these rules and to find out where they like to fish. The results show that most anglers don't like catch-and-release, but many will keep fishing at their favorite spots or switch to places where they can keep what they catch. Even if catch-and-release becomes mandatory, about two-thirds of anglers are likely to keep fishing in Oklahoma.
