Sub-Saharan Africa struggles with low water security, impacting food production and overall economy due to conflicts, poor governance, and poverty. India's diverse conditions offer valuable lessons for water management in Africa. The region can benefit from India's experience in government policy making and investment in water resources. Policy directions are suggested for improving water management in fledgling economies in Africa and parts of Asia.
