Fouling is a common problem in membrane processes, including osmotically driven membranes (ODMs). ODMs offer benefits like low pressure operation and high solute rejection, but fouling still poses a challenge. This study examines how fouling affects ODM performance, identifies factors causing fouling, and suggests ways to reduce it. The goal is to improve the efficiency of ODM technology by understanding and addressing fouling issues.
