Boosting Sorghum Yields and Profits with Green Biomass Composts
A study was done to see how different composts affect the yield and profit of sorghum crops. They tested 15 treatments and found that using farmyard manure with recommended fertilizer gave the highest grain and stover yield. The lowest yield was seen in the control group. The best profit was made with farmyard manure and recommended fertilizer, followed by a specific compost mix. Applying farmyard manure before planting and nitrogen and phosphorus at sowing time led to higher yields and profits.
