A study was done in Varanasi to see how different ways of growing rice affect wheat crops. The System of Rice Intensification (SRI) method gave higher rice and overall crop yields compared to normal rice planting. The rice hybrid Arize-6444 was the most productive, leading to higher wheat yields. Using a mix of nutrients and organic material also increased rice and wheat yields. Overall, the study found that certain methods of growing rice can have a positive impact on the following wheat crop.
