Electric sounding reveals underground surprises causing drilling failures in Cote d'Ivoire.
The study compared results from electrical sounding and drilling in the Bandama Valley region. Both methods were used to find groundwater. While the conclusions matched in some cases, differences were found in the number and thickness of layers, weathering, and fractures underground. These differences caused problems when drilling in the area.
