The article compares different methods for predicting monthly rainfall distribution in specific areas in Turkey. The researchers used Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze the effectiveness of three common interpolation techniques: Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW), Simple Kriging (SK), and Co-Kriging (CK). They found that SK and CK methods had lower errors and uncertainties compared to IDW, making them more reliable for predicting rainfall in ungauged areas. Overall, all three methods can be used effectively for water resources planning in areas with limited rainfall data.
