Food regulations and enforcement in Indonesia have been strengthened over the years to ensure food safety. The government has implemented laws and established agencies to control food quality and hazardous substances. By using an integrated approach involving various stakeholders, including private sectors and different ministries, the country has developed a comprehensive food safety system. This system, known as the Integrated Food Safety System, promotes communication among stakeholders and ensures that food regulations are continuously reviewed and enforced. The goal is to prevent food-related health risks through premarket evaluation and postmarket inspections.
