The researchers studied the fish in the Yamuna River in Uttarakhand. They found 9 different types of fish from 3 families and 2 orders. The most common fish was Tor putitora, followed by Barilius bendelisis. Tor tor was the least common. The diversity of fish species in the river was good during the study period.
