Extraordinary acts of kindness make ordinary heroes shine brighter.
The study looked at how people view regular and exceptional acts of kindness, and how they predict future kind actions from those who do these acts. They found that people think those who do regular kind acts will keep doing them, but not necessarily exceptional kind acts. However, those who do exceptional kind acts are seen as likely to do both regular and exceptional kind acts in the future. Also, people think highly of those who do exceptional kind acts, especially if they also do regular kind acts.
