Silver nanoparticles thin films revolutionize solar panel efficiency and durability.
Researchers prepared silver nanoparticles thin films using a wet chemical method. They used silver nitrate and sodium borohydrate to make the nanoparticles. The nanoparticles were analyzed using UV-VIS spectrometry, TEM, and Zeta potential techniques. The silver nanoparticles were spherical in shape, with sizes ranging from 10 to 17 nm. The absorption peak of the nanoparticles was at 400 nm. The thin films made on different substrates showed that the distribution of the silver solution was more uniform on silicon compared to ITO glass and commercial glass.
