New study reveals key factors for maximizing greenhouse gas recovery
The study looked at how different conditions affect the recovery of gases from hydrate slurry. They used a mixture of gases to simulate greenhouse gases and low-pressure gases. They found that low-pressure gas was released first during decomposition, while greenhouse gases were recovered more gradually. The pressure and temperature had little impact on low-pressure gas recovery, but they strongly influenced greenhouse gas recovery. The maximum separation factors were around 50 for greenhouse gases and 20 for low-pressure gases.
