Government spending on education in Nigeria boosts per capita income significantly.
The research looked at how government spending in Nigeria affects poverty levels. They studied data from 1980 to 2016 using different statistical models. The results showed that government spending on health, education, and construction can positively impact income levels. However, the impact is not very strong. There was no direct link found between government spending on health and education, but spending on education did have a two-way relationship with income. The study suggests that increasing and monitoring government spending, possibly through partnerships, could help reduce poverty.
