Traceability elements boost consumer trust in food safety practices in Brazil
The study looked at how traceability information in food products affects consumer trust in Brazil. They found that only a small percentage of products have traceability info, mostly just the producer's name. Consumers trust food safety more when they can trace diseases/pests and inputs. Process and inputs traceability are the most important elements for a good traceability system. Companies in Brazil should focus on these elements to improve their food systems and meet consumer expectations.
