The article examines changes in land use over time in a mineral resource development zone in Dongsheng district, Erdos city. Using ArcGIS technology, the researchers analyzed the transfer of different land types from 1993 to 2014. They found significant changes in the quantity and structure of land use, with urban construction land changing the fastest. The transfer of land types was more pronounced from 1993 to 2005 compared to 2005-2014, with most transfers occurring between cultivated land, grassland, and urban areas.
