Groundwater Overexploitation Zones in China Scored for Effective Management.
Groundwater overexploitation in China is causing problems like declining water tables and water quality issues. To address this, a new evaluation system was created to manage overexploitation zones more effectively. By combining management experience and regional characteristics, the system was used to evaluate two provinces, Hebei and Jiangsu, scoring them 70 and 86 respectively. This system helps to improve the management of groundwater overexploitation zones.
