Integrated coal-gasification combined-cycle (IGCC) power plants are efficient and eco-friendly. A new plant design combining Texaco gasification and General Electric technology is being tested. The plant includes a gas turbine, steam turbine, and heat recovery system. The goal is to demonstrate the plant's performance and environmental impact for potential commercial use.
