New Cherry Tomato Genotypes Boost Yield and Growth Potential Under Shade Net Conditions
The researchers evaluated different types of cherry tomatoes to see which ones grew the tallest, had the most branches, flowered the earliest, and produced the most fruit. They found that Pant Cherry Tomato 1 grew the tallest, LE 13 had the most branches, and LE 315 flowered the earliest. Pusa Cherry Tomato 1 had the most flowers per cluster, while LE 13 had the most fruit clusters. IIHR 2754 had the highest fruit set percentage, and LE 1223 had the highest fruit yield per plant and per hectare. Overall, different cherry tomato genotypes showed variations in growth and yield characteristics.
