Geothermal energy is a reliable and eco-friendly renewable energy source. Slovakia has abundant geothermal resources, particularly in the Subtatric region. By using 3D modeling, researchers identified Mesozoic units like Choc and Krizna Nappes as the most promising for geothermal potential. This information can help investors interested in developing geothermal energy in the Poprad basin region by guiding them to suitable locations for further exploration and feasibility studies.
