Uncertainty in Transportation Networks Shifts Commuter Mode Preferences in Jakarta.
The study looked at how uncertainty in transportation networks affects people's choices between taking the bus or LRT for work trips. They used a decision model called Cumulative Prospect Theory to factor in risk and uncertainty. By analyzing travel data and considering the impact of risk on travel time, they found that including risk in the decision-making process better reflects how people actually choose their commuting mode in the South Tangerang and Jakarta regions.
