The article examines how energy efficiency is improving across different provinces in China from 2003 to 2015. By looking at data from 29 provinces, the researchers found that policies aimed at reducing energy intensity are working. They discovered that neighboring provinces also play a role in this improvement, through sharing technology and knowledge. To continue this progress, it is important for provinces to invest in low-energy resources, attract foreign investment, and focus on developing innovative technologies.
