New model pinpoints key areas of agricultural pollution in China's watershed.
The study aimed to find areas in China's Tiaoxi watershed where pollution from farming, wastewater, and livestock is a big problem. By using a special model, they identified 13 areas with high nitrogen pollution, 10 with high phosphorus pollution, and 7 with both. These areas matched up with water quality data. This model could help target efforts to reduce pollution in these critical areas.
