Reservoir landslides in China can be risky for reservoirs and hydropower stations. The Hongyanzi landslide in Pubugou reservoir area was studied to understand its deformation and stability. Deformation mainly happened during water drawdown, caused by water pressure differences inside and outside the slope. Rain and earthquakes didn't affect the landslide much.
