Household type drives income inequality in Poland and UK, study finds.
The article compares income inequality in households in Poland and the UK using Theil index. The researchers analyzed data from 2005 and 2014 to see how different types of households contribute to overall income inequality. They found that households with two adults below 65 and no dependent children are the main source of inequality in both countries. The between-group component of the Theil index decreased in Poland but increased in the UK, making income inequality twice as high in the UK compared to Poland in 2014.
