The World Bank conducted a rapid assessment in Indonesia to study how solid waste, especially plastics, ends up in the ocean. They focused on 15 cities in western and central Indonesia to gather current information. The goal was to help Indonesia deal with the increasing problem of plastic pollution in the oceans.
