Alluvial meadow soils in the eastern part of the Nile delta vary in their absorbency levels. Meadow soils absorb the most water, followed by meadow carbonate soils, and then cespitos carbonate soils. The amount of exchangeable cations in the soil changes based on the clay content and other factors in the soil profile.
