Community forests in Nepal are now focusing on scientific management to increase forest productivity. A study in Rupandehi district showed a significant increase in seedlings and saplings after one year of regeneration felling. Timber and fuel wood production also rose, leading to higher income and more job opportunities for locals. Scientific forest management is proven to enhance forest regeneration, boost income, and create employment in community forestry.
