New Grazing Regimes Boost Lucerne Persistence in Dryland Regions
Lucerne is an important forage for grazing in dry areas. Researchers studied different grazing methods on lucerne in southern Australia. They found that various grazing practices did not significantly affect lucerne density. As long as the lucerne had enough time to rest between grazing, it remained healthy. This shows that there is flexibility in how lucerne can be grazed as long as it gets the right amount of rest.
