Organic organizational structures boost learning and knowledge creation in universities.
The research looked at how the structure of an organization affects its ability to learn. They studied 130 universities in Pakistan and found that organizations with an organic structure promote better learning and knowledge creation compared to those with a mechanistic structure. Centralization and indoctrination were identified as key factors that help organizations learn. This study provides evidence that the way an organization is set up can impact how well it learns and grows.
