Paper Summary

Slender masonry structures like towers and temples are at risk of earthquake damage. A new method was developed to assess their vulnerability to earthquakes. By evaluating 12 parameters, a vulnerability index was calculated to predict structural damage after an earthquake. This method can help protect these unique structures from future seismic events.
