New tool predicts urban environment quality for sustainable city development.
The article presents a method called the Dynamic Index of Urban Environment Quality (DIUEQ) to measure the quality of urban environments in cities. This method uses a hierarchical approach and combines indicators related to provision, sociological measurements, and economic factors. By applying this method to the city of Kirov in 2016, the authors were able to track changes in the city's indicators over time and forecast future developments. The DIUEQ can help cities and public groups assess and improve the quality of urban environments for sustainable urban development.
