Insurance Criminals More Likely to Commit Fraud Due to Tolerance Levels
The study looked at how criminals and the public view insurance fraud differently. Criminals have a lower awareness of fraud and a more negative view of the insurance industry. The more someone is okay with fraud, the more likely they are to commit insurance fraud. On the other hand, having a strong sense of moral obligation lowers the likelihood of committing fraud. Other factors like gender, age, income, and claims experience don't have a big impact on fraud intentions.
