The researchers developed a new method to quickly and accurately estimate water flow in rivers. By using only three measurements, they were able to create a reliable model for predicting high and medium water flows. This method reduced uncertainty by a factor of ten on average and provided estimates with an error margin of less than 15% for medium and high flows. This approach could help improve our understanding of river flow dynamics and enhance flood forecasting capabilities.
