Heavy Metals Threaten Male Fertility Worldwide, Sperm Severely Impacted
Heavy metals like copper and cadmium can harm sperm function. Researchers tested the effects of different concentrations of copper sulfate and cadmium chloride on human sperm using computer analysis and cell tests. They found that high levels of these metals reduced sperm movement and vitality. The study suggests that copper sulfate at 50 µg/ml and cadmium chloride at 392 µg/ml can harm sperm. The WST-1 test is recommended for future studies on sperm health.
