Surfactants found to have no impact on wetting hydrophobic surfaces.
Surfactants are used to help water spread on surfaces that repel water. Scientists found that some surfactants don't change how well water spreads on a surface, even though they are there. They discovered this by using a new method to measure how well water wets a surface with surfactants. The surfactants make the surface stick to water and air equally, so the water doesn't spread more easily.
