Strategic buyer-supplier relationships in IT outsourcing boost performance and trust.
The article explores how the type of relationship between buyers and suppliers in IT outsourcing affects buyer performance, from the perspective of consultants. Consultants were surveyed, and it was found that strategic relationships lead to higher supplier investment in relational management and trust, resulting in more shared activities. Additionally, improving supplier development by buyers enhances buyer performance. This study sheds light on how different types of relationships impact buyer performance in IT outsourcing, emphasizing the importance of relational management and supplier development.
